1. Why is Wanfang Data's China Online Journals unique?
China Online Journals (COJ) is unique in that it is the only product of this kind in China that provides full-text journals (including more than 150 English journals) for subscription. That is, journals can be browsed and read in the same manner as for print copies, and they can be subscribed to individually. The database covers 96.5% of the core journals published in China, which is usually considered sufficient to accommodate serious researchers. Nevertheless, more journals, especially those in the fields of Humanities/Social Sciences, are being added.

2. Which databases from Wanfang Data are the most comprehensive?
Our Dissertations of China (DOC), Academic Conferences in China (ACIC), Chinese Companies & Products (CECDB), and Policies and Laws of China (PLOC) are the most comprehensive of this kind in China. The database of Chinese Science Citation Index and the database of National Scientific Awards / Scientific Achievements are the only products of this nature available in the market.

3. How often are Wanfang Data's databases updated and by which amount?
Wanfang databases are updated regularly, some on weekly basis and some on monthly, quarterly or biannual basis. The amount by which databases are augmented varies from database to database. For further, please Contact Us.

6. Do you provide full-text downloading?
Most Full-Text is downloadable from our website. However, due to publishers' restrictions and/or security reasons, some full-text of dissertations are not provided on the website. If you need them, please Email Us and include the following information:Article Title; Author; Issue Date.

7. What software are needed to view these full-texts?
Wanfang Data's databases (except Patent) are in PDF files. If your Adobe Acrobat is configured to support Simplified Chinese Characters (Download), no special software is required.

8. What kind of service modes do you provide?
Now we provide following service modes: On-line Access, Local Mirror Site (Local Server), On-line Access & Archiving and Compact Disks

10. I found the database list on your website (www.wanfangdata.com) is not the same as the one on your Chinese Version (www.wanfangdata.com.cn). Can I subscribe the Databases on your Chinese website?
You may request a database list by sending an email to Wanfang Data. You may subscribe to the databases either on our Chinese platform or the English-interfaced website. Please contact Wanfang by email for details.

11. Do you provide Cross-Database Search facility?
Yes. In our Cross-Database Search facility, you can search all nine databases simultaneous. You can access it from the navigation bar.

12. Do you provide Boolean logic search?
Yes. Please click on the "Advanced Search". The user interface for Boolean logic expression will appear to allow you to conduct advanced search without having to type a Boolean expression.

13. Do you support precise search facility?
Yes. You can simply put quotation marks around your search terms to perform a precise search. For example, you can use"敦煌历史" (including the quotation marks) to search for records that include the exact phrase.

14. The article I pulled up has an error or is the incorrect article, what do I do?
We apologize for this problem.  Please send our Technial Manager the following information and the problem will be reported and fixed as soon as possible. Article Title, Publication and Author

15. I could not get correct results when searching articles with "-"(hyphen/dash) in English article titles, what shoul I do?
We apologize for this problem, our engineers are working on this. Currently please use space/blank to replace "-" when searching such articles, or if it's not working, please send emails to us.
